While I was gone, hubby was to turn Gertie out every other day. He said he turned her out twice, but I think he only did it once :p Just sayin'!
Also, a member of my horse forum (http://www.horsegroomingsupplies.com/horse-forums/) was in town visiting so I picked her up and let her ride Gertie. She is an experienced rider and I really would like to have different people ride her so she doesn't get used to just me and go sour later on. She did just fantastic! Even for having a whole week off of no riding... I was amazed at how well she was. I rode her around first and she didn't throw a single fit. Same goes when Aryiah rode her. We didn't work on anything particular, but Aryiah even mentioned a few times how light Gert's mouth was, how easily she turned and bended to leg pressure... Oh I was on cloud 9!! We've been working hard at some of those things and to hear the compliments really made us feel good about how we're doing.
